Experience History in a Cup! The original Arabian Mokha Java blend dates back to the 1700's where the combination of coffees from the areas of Yemen and Java comprised the world's first known coffee blend.  We continue that tradition today in Fossil Fuel™ with a slightly modern take on that historical union by using naturally processed coffees from Ethiopia and Papua New Guinea. These coffees mount a complex, wild, and timeless cup that serves as a looking glass to the beginnings of modern coffee culture. We're so excited to get our hands on this Colombia offering again, and it doesn't disappoint. Sweet notes of honey, cherry, and apple are prominent in this very clean cup. On the finish, we found a refreshing lemon drop acidity. Notes: Honey, red apple, cherry, caramel Origins: Nariño, Colombia Processing Method: Washed Medium Roast Level  La Union is a small town deep in Southern Colombia that sits at an extremely high altitude. Coffee producers in the area generally work on fairly small farms (most around 1 hectare in size) and deliver their coffee to centralized warehouses for sale. This Excelso is a regional blend from local coffee-producing families in La Union, many of whom provide smaller micro lots as well. Coffee in this lot undergoes a 14- to 16-hour fermentation process at the wet mill before being set out on parabolic beds for drying. The resulting cup profile is clean, sweet, and complex.  

Our Ethiopia Guji contains delicious elements of blueberry, raisin, and milk chocolate, with a wonderfully balanced acidity. This coffee is roasted in the smallest batches possible to assure excellency. Notes: Blueberry, Raisin, Milk Chocolate Origin: Ethiopia Guji Process: Natural Light to Medium Roast  

Our Iron Goddess of Mercy (Ti Kwan Yin) Oolong is a legendary tea from the Fujian province in China. It is one of China's most beloved oolongs and is extremely time-consuming to produce (well over a dozen distinct steps in the processing are observed). This tea produces a cup that is warm, soft and soothingly mineral in texture. Notes of toasted walnut and tender collard greens. Intriguing lingering floral aroma, lightly orchid and gentle astringency. Stands up to multiple infusions.  2-3 minutes  176-190° F  1 heaped tsp./6 oz serving  

A tangy blend of hibiscus flowers, elderberries, and currants is relaxing when hot and remarkably refreshing when iced. No caffeine. Contains: Hibiscus, Elderberry, Currants, Black Currant, Flavoring.  10-12 minutes  203-212 °F  1-2 level tsp./ 6 oz serving

A perfect blend of ginger, lemongrass, lemon peel, licorice, and spearmint is both naturally sweet with a little spice from the ginger for complexity and depth. It is a perfect balance of spicy and sweet and one of our most popular teas.  5-10 minutes  206-212 °F  1 level tsp./6 oz serving

Strong, malty and brisk, this traditional Assam is sweet enough to be consumed black but holds up perfectly to a little milk and sugar.  4-5 minutes   203-212 °F   1 level tsp./6 oz serving

Fresh green Bancha leaf has been blended with the crisp flavor of quince fruit, beautiful mallow flowers and cornflowers. This is a very aromatic offering that will invigorate your senses. Also referred to as 'flower fragrance', this tea is an amazingly floral and refreshing green from Kagoshima, Japan. The cup is soft, smooth and very approachable for western palates and is easily an everyday cup.  1-2 minutes  170-185° F  1 heaped tsp./6 oz serving

Jasmine Silver Tips is a delicate green tea from the Fujian province of China. Soft, full-bodied and sweet flavor with a slight dryness in the finish. Very layered and lingering floral aroma.
